The Lake of the Woods Democratic Club believes that voting is every citizen’s precious right and sacred duty. We hope you’ll support our party’s candidates, but whether you do or not, please use the information below to make sure you’re on the rolls next Election Day.

The Orange County Registrar’s office is located on the second floor in the Sedwick Building on Madison Road in Orange.

The county consists of five voting districts each of which has two or three precincts. Citizens voting for members of the Board of Supervisors and School Board can vote only within their district. Citizens in each district vote for constitutional officers, including sheriff, treasurer, commissioner of the revenue, Commonwealth’s attorney, and clerk of the court. The county was redistricted in 2021, following the 2020 census.

In the state Senate, Lake of the Woods is represented in the 28th District. In the House of Delegates, it’s in the 63rd District.

Lake of the Woods is represented in the 7th Congressional District of the U. S. House of Representatives.

To vote in an upcoming election, citizens must be 18 years old, and have registered 21 days prior to the scheduled election.
